Terms and Conditions

By booking or attending any class, course, club, camp, event, workshop, or service provided by El Recreo Spanish, you agree to the following Terms and Conditions.

1. Attendance and Punctuality

• All classes and sessions start and finish promptly at the scheduled times.

• Participants are encouraged to arrive a few minutes before the session begins.

• El Recreo Spanish is not obligated to extend session times due to late arrivals.

2. Respectful Behaviour

• We expect all children, adults, parents, guardians, staff, and visitors to treat one another with kindness, respect, and consideration at all times.

• We reserve the right to refuse entry, suspend participation, or terminate enrolment where behaviour is deemed inappropriate, disruptive, abusive, or detrimental to the wellbeing, safety, or learning experience of others.

3. Payments

• Full payment must be received at least 48 hours before the start of each term, course, camp, or programme unless otherwise agreed.

• Payment for trial classes, drop-in sessions, events, and workshops must be made prior to attendance.

• Places are not guaranteed until payment has been received.

4. Cancellation, Missed Sessions and Refund Policy

NO REFUNDS POLICY

Please note that all payments made to El Recreo Spanish are final and non-refundable.

• We do not offer refunds for missed classes, courses, clubs, camps, workshops, events, or any other services.

• We do not offer refunds due to illness, holidays, scheduling conflicts, change of circumstances, withdrawal from a programme, or any other personal reason.

• Once a booking has been confirmed and payment has been made, no refund, partial refund, or credit will be issued.

• Where possible and at our sole discretion, we may offer an alternative class, online session, make-up session, or credit. This is not guaranteed and remains entirely at the discretion of El Recreo Spanish.

• By completing your booking, you acknowledge and accept our strict No Refunds Policy.

5. Changes to Classes and Services

• El Recreo Spanish reserves the right to amend fees, class times, term dates, locations, teachers, programmes, or services where necessary.

• We will endeavour to provide reasonable notice of any significant changes.

6. Health and Safety

• Food is not permitted during classes unless specifically authorised as part of a camp, event, or special activity.

• Participants may bring a bottle of water. Fizzy drinks and energy drinks are not permitted.

• Certain educational activities may involve appropriate and supervised physical contact where necessary for teaching purposes.

7. Medical Information

• Parents, guardians, and adult participants are responsible for informing El Recreo Spanish of any medical conditions, allergies, additional needs, or relevant health information before attending classes.

• El Recreo Spanish cannot accept responsibility for issues arising from undisclosed medical information.

8. Personal Belongings

• Participants are responsible for their personal belongings.

• El Recreo Spanish accepts no responsibility for lost, stolen, or damaged items.

• Any items found will be placed in our Lost Property collection where possible.

9. Safeguarding and Classroom Access

• To ensure the safety and focus of all participants, parents and guardians are not permitted inside the classroom during sessions unless the class has been specifically designed as a parent-and-child session.

• This includes programmes for children 3 yrs +  and other designated family classes.

10. Photography and Video Recording

• Photographs and videos may be taken during classes, camps, workshops, and events for promotional, marketing, educational, and social media purposes (with previous permission given/not given from you).

• Parents, guardians, or adult participants who do not wish to appear in photographs or videos must indicate this during registration or notify us in writing.

• We will make every reasonable effort to respect these preferences.

11. Data Protection and GDPR

• El Recreo Spanish is committed to protecting personal information and complying with all applicable UK Data Protection and GDPR regulations.

• Personal information will only be used for legitimate business, educational, safeguarding, and communication purposes.

• Any questions regarding data protection should be directed to El Recreo Spanish.

12. DBS and Safeguarding

• All relevant staff members hold appropriate DBS checks in accordance with UK safeguarding requirements.

• DBS certificates may be available for inspection upon request where appropriate.

13. Limitation of Liability

• Whilst El Recreo Spanish takes all reasonable precautions to provide a safe environment, participation in classes and activities is undertaken at the participant's own risk.

• El Recreo Spanish shall not be liable for any loss, injury, damage, delay, or expense arising from circumstances beyond our reasonable control.

14. Franchise Locations

• Classes, credits, bookings, and memberships are not transferable between El Recreo Spanish locations unless expressly authorised by the relevant franchise owner or El Recreo Spanish Head Office.

• Individual franchise locations may operate additional local procedures, provided they do not conflict with these Terms and Conditions.

15. Holiday Camps and Special Events

• Due to staffing, venue hire, materials, and operational planning, bookings for holiday camps, workshops, and special events are non-refundable and non-transferable.

• No refunds will be provided for non-attendance or partial attendance.

16. Acceptance of Terms and Conditions

By booking, enrolling, attending, or participating in any El Recreo Spanish programme, class, course, camp, event, workshop, or activity, you confirm that you have read, understood, and accepted these Terms and Conditions in full.

Your booking constitutes acceptance of all terms outlined above.
